Nargis Fakhri became an overnight sensation after she made her big Bollywood debut with Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor in 2011. She recently opened up about her struggling days when she lost jobs because she wouldn’t do certain things.
Spilling the beans on the same, Nargis told a news portal that she set boundaries to keep her moral compass in line. The actress stated that she is not hungry for fame and that she wouldn’t do certain things like posing naked or sleeping with a director to get work. In fact, Nargis revealed that she has lost her job because she didn’t do those kinds of things.
Elaborating further, the actress added that she is trying to live where she has high standards and boundaries and it sucks because she got kicked out more than once. Even though that hurt she kept telling herself that people with values will win your own way, maybe it’s not just that way and that’s what she held on to. Nargis says she has always been true to herself and doesn’t let anyone convince her for anything else. For her, there is nothing more than her morals and values.
Nargis also went on to reveal that she came to Bollywood because there are no sex scenes. In modelling, they sometimes ask you to do topless shots or be super naked in an ad but she was never comfortable with stuff like that. In fact, during her modelling days, there was a college edition of an adult magazine thing. Her agent said they are asking for girls and they had chosen to see if she would want to do something like that. Although the magazine is huge and the money was so much, she still said no to it.
Nargis is currently away from the silver screen and has been having the time of her life with her boyfriend Justin Santos. Pictures and videos of the couple on social media are an absolute treat for her fans.
The actress has had films like, ‘Madras Café’, ‘Kick’, ‘Housefull 3’, ‘Torbaaz’ and others to her credit.
