That's definitely true for Paulina. She wasn't always interested in fitness, explaining to Elle that she's only been working out for a few years. "I was just turning 40 and I was like, 'Wow, this is cool. I can actually have an effect on my body,'" she said.

Her time on Dancing with the Stars in 2007 helped her make the shift, she added. After she started spending more time working out, she noticed that exercise was improving her mental health, too. "I started exercising to help with my panic attacks and to get off antidepressants," she said. "I found out if I worked out every day my anxiety was kept a lot at bay. And I felt better."
