After 3 flops, Ayushmann was ready to go back home

Ayushmann Khurrana has successfully managed to establish himself as an A-list talent after nearly a decade in Bollywood. The actor, who debuted with an out-of-the-box role of a sperm donor, became an overnight hit with ‘Vicky Donor’ in 2012. A few years down the line the actor released his book ‘Cracking the Code: My Journey in Bollywood’. During a recent chat show, Arbaaz Khan read out negative reviews of Ayushmann’s book, wherein users had commented that the actor had rushed his autobiography very early in his career.

Reacting to this, Ayushmann said that after his first hit, he faced three back-to-back flops. He revealed that he was written off as an actor and was ready to quit and return to his hometown Chandigarh. Ayushmann revealed at that point he had a lot of time to write a book but now he is at a stage when there is much work that he doesn’t have any time to pen anything. The actor went on to reveal that when movies were not working he thought he would sing at birthdays, dance, entertain people and write a book too.

Over the years, Ayushmann has delivered path-breaking performances. After ‘Vicky Donor’, he went on to feature in ‘Nautanki Saala!’, ‘Bewakoofiyaan’, and ‘Hawaizaada’ – all three failed to work at the box office. However, the actor went on to crash the box office with hits like ‘Badhaai Ho’, ‘Andhadhun’, and ‘Dum Lagake Haisha’. He has movies such as - ‘Badhaai Do’, ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’, ‘Anek’ and ‘Doctor G’.
