Anushka Sharma starrer Jhulan Goswami's biopic to...

When one says - cricket and Bollywood go hand-in-hand - it is surely not a far-fetched idea. From dating to making movies on some of the big stars, it has become a way to pay tribute to these legends.

With biopics on prominent personalities becoming more relevant these days, there was no surprise when a movie on Indian women's pacer Jhulan Goswami is all set to be made.

Bollywood actress and Virat Kohli's wife Anushka Sharma will be gearing up to portray the speedster in the movie.

Rumors on Anushka Sharma starring in Jhulan's biopic have been doing the rounds for quite some time after an image of the actress in the Indian jersey went viral on the internet in January 2020. She was seen with Jhulan at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. 

While there is no official announcement on the film, but a report by Bollywood Hungama states that the further process of the movie is expected to start by the end of this year.

According to a source, the movie has not been shelved and is currently under development and the script is yet to be finalized. Anushka would start the proceedings once everything gets approved.

Legacy of Jhulan Goswami

Since making her debut in 2002, Jhulan Goswami has scalped 41, 236, and 56 wickets in Tests, ODIs, and T20Is respectively. She has been one of the most impactful bowlers in the history of women's cricket. 

Goswami is currently in England with the Indian squad and is gearing up for the T20I series against the host nation. 

India drew the one-off Test match against England but was seen going down in the ODIs 2-1. The two teams will now lock horns against each other for the three-match T20I series kick-starting from July 09.
