Maura Higgins sends pulses racing with throwback bikini photo

Maura Higgins – like the rest of us – is lamenting for sun holidays and has posted a throwback photo in a tiny, crocheted bikini.

he Love Island star (30) sent pulses racing with her latest Instagram post, where she posed in a barely-there two-piece and a puka shell choker.

Her low-rise swimwear showed off her stunning figure and toned stomach.

Maura revealed that she was longing for holidays past in her caption, writing: “Dreaming of days like these.”

Lucie Donlan, who appeared on the same season of the show as Maura, said: “Your figure tho.”

Winter Love Island contestant Shaughna Phillips wrote: “This is phone wallpaper worthy!”

Maura’s post comes after fellow Islander Megan Barton-Hanson admitted to sliding into the Longford lady’s DMs.

In an interview with Heat Magazine, Megan said: “I think she's stunning, I think she's a powerful, strong woman.

“But I don't know if she's bi. But hopefully one day.”

Her friend Jack Fincham, who won the 2018 season of Love Island with then-girlfriend Dani Dyer, sat in on the interview and said that he’d “put in a good word” for her with Maura.

Megan then went on to admit that she had messaged Maura in the past.

“I've slid in her DMs and got nothing,” she laughed.

“Have you actually? What did you write?” Jack asked.

Megan responded: “I don't know. Maybe I just sent an emoji, just dipping the toe in. Got absolutely aired!”

Jack laughed but reassured his pal: “She'd be up for it!”

This isn’t the first time Megan has made her attraction to Maura known. In an interview last year, the model revealed that she would have coupled up with the 30-year-old had they appeared on the same season of Love Island.

“I’d love to have coupled up with Maura,” she said.

“I think we’re so similar in so many ways, like our views and stuff – but I don’t know if I could handle her, she’s very high maintenance, but I guess I am too!”
