Just recently, we got our hands on a report which detailed out the most expensive property purchases made in Mumbai, in 2021. The overall expenditure, in just 7 months, was more than Rs 4,000 crore, and you can also find the names of a few Bollywood celebrities on this list. Namely, Amitabh Bachchan and Sunny Leone. The former, moving on from his bungalow buying spree – the Bachchan owns 5 bungalows in Mumbai – invested in an apartment in Mumbai’s suburbs.

1. Amitabh Bachchan
While Amitabh Bachchan’s property was purchased in December 2020, the stamp duty for the 5,184 sq ft duplex was done in April 2021. The duplex is located at The Atlantis tower in Jogeshwari, Mumbai and was sold to Amitabh Bachchan for Rs 54,348/sq ft ,making it the #18 most expensive property deal in the country in 2021. 2. Sunny Leone
Actress Sunny Leone also purchased a duplex in the same tower as Amitabh Bachchan. However, Leone got a better bargain on the per square foot price. Her 4,365 square feet was signed off at Rs 36,665/sq ft, taking the total price of the property to Rs 16 crore.
