When actress Gehana Vasisth learnt of Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra’s arrest for his alleged involvement in a case regarding the production of pornographic content, she couldn’t hold back her own emotions about recent experiences.
In a video, the actress who made a name for herself in the risqué online show ‘Gandii Baat’, supported Kundra and defended the content created by them. She said, “I have a small request for everyone to not compare bold and erotica cinema with porn. Raj Kundra and I have been arrested for the same case, we have the same investigation going on. I know what was being made under Kundra’s company. I have worked as a heroine in 3 films produced for Raj Kundra’s app. He never forced me to do anything, I was paid according to the work I did and deserved. I had no issues with the work or the payment I received. I had no objections to the content, nor did I have any bad experience of working on the sets. Those films were released very well and neither of those films were porn movies. Those who have a doubt can use Google search and look for those films and my other work. None of it can be classified as porn.”
Vasisth along with eight others was arrested by the Mumbai police after an investigation into a case involving the production and distribution of pornographic content through mobile apps. According to reports, cops had conducted a bust in Madh Island where the alleged shooting of porn films was taking place. Vasisth reveals that these reports are all fabricated. She says, “News outlets everywhere have reported that I was caught by the police shooting on February 4th in a bungalow. But the truth is, I was home on that day. I was not present at any shoot. The police arrested a few individuals on February 4, who were shooting some objectionable stuff and those people were produced in court on February 5. Had I been part of that shoot, then I would also have been produced in the court with those people. But I was presented in front of the court on February 7, because I was not present at the aforementioned shoot at all.”
“I have spent five precious months in jail for a crime I never committed. My accounts have been frozen, my mobiles and laptop have been confiscated. My life has been turned into hell. I haven’t had enough money to spend since the day I’ve been released from custody. Not just that, I even suffered a heart attack and was hospitalised for 10-12 days. In jail, I wasn’t able to breathe because of the kind of torture I endured and the kind of environment and people I had to endure in there. I didn’t deserve that.”
The actress feels those who are actually making porn should be apprehended and arrested. She adds, “In jail, I was repenting, but I didn’t know for what mistake I should ask God for forgiveness, because I hadn’t made any mistake. My request to people is to not judge us, we did not do anything wrong. The truth will prevail and I just want to say to the people that we were not wrong.”
The court has sentenced Kundra to police custody till July 23 and this will give the cops time to investigate the involvement of Vasisth and others in this case.

Umesh, a former employee of Raj Kundra, was accused of uploading at least eight ‘pornographic and obscene’ videos shot by Vasisht on social media apps for monetary gains. She denies these claims and adds, “I am not associated in any way with any porn film racket. I don't make such films and I have no association with such malpractices.”
She was arrested by Mumbai Crime Branch in February and had to spend a considerable amount of time in jail. Recalling those harrowing months, Vasisth talks in the video and says,
